AARON MANN

AREA REPRESENTATIVE

PORTLAND, MAINE

Although he was born and raised in Georgia, Aaron Mann’s heart for ministry is focused on the city of Portland in the state of Maine.

“My wife and I have had a tremendous heart for New England for a few years now,” says Mann. “It’s an incredibly lost section of our country with less than 3% of the population churched. With good friends of ours living in the area, the Lord has burdened our hearts for those in the community, and we are eager to do ministry alongside FCA staff in the state of Maine.”

Mann was born in South Atlanta and moved to Gainesville at the age of 10 where he played soccer, football, and track throughout middle school and high school. FCA played a significant role in Mann’s life from an early age where he attended FCA huddles and several summer Team Camps. After graduating in 2009, Mann took a gap year before entering college and traveled to South America to study the Bible and learn Spanish. He went on to attend the University of North Georgia where he graduated in 2014 with a business major.

While in college, Mann remained active in FCA by volunteering and speaking at huddles and even took a trip to Portugal with FCA staff members to help run mini-camps for a Portuguese semi-pro football league. After graduating, he took the role as Student Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in 2015 in Gainesville. But throughout these years, Mann always knew that God was calling him to Maine.

“Becoming an FCA Area Representative in Maine is taking a step of obedience for me,” says Mann. “God has put so many things in place for us to make the transition to Maine, and we are definitely moving forward in faith that the Lord will continue to guide our steps.”

Mann and his family will be moving to Portland, Maine in the spring of 2019 after graduating from Metro Atlanta Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. He plans to hike the backwoods of Maine with his wife (Hope) and daughter (Oakleigh) and enjoy the coastline as a family once they make the move.
